Privacy Policy
Plain English: we collect the least we can, we do not sell your information, and we only use what you send us to answer you and do the work you hired us for.

Who we are
This site is operated by Informic, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. You can reach us at contact@informic.app or 219-205-2570. We do not publish a street address; if you need a mailing address for a legal notice, email us and we will provide one.
What we collect
- Information you type into a form. Our contact form asks for your name and email, and optionally your company and a message. The plan builder sends whatever you choose plus your contact details when you submit it. Nothing is required beyond what is needed to reply.
- Chat messages. If you use the chat assistant, the text of your questions is sent to our server and to an AI provider to generate an answer. Do not put sensitive information (payment details, passwords, medical or financial data) into the chat.
- Email preferences. If you unsubscribe, we store the fact that your address opted out so we stop emailing it.
- QR / short-link visits. When someone opens our business-card link at
/qr, we log the time, the browser user-agent string, the referring page, and an approximate country, region, and city. We do not store your IP address, and this is not tied to your name. - Basic hosting logs. Our hosting and backend providers keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed to children.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not run advertising pixels, ad retargeting, or cross-site tracking on this site.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party analytics on informic.app.
- We do not add you to a marketing list just because you filled out the contact form.
How we use what we collect
- To reply to your question, quote your project, and do the work if you hire us.
- To send you emails you asked for, such as a quote, an invoice, or a project update.
- To keep the site working, secure, and free of spam and abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, whether the QR code on our business cards gets used.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They only get what they need to do their job, and they are not allowed to use your information for their own marketing:
- Our hosting and database/backend provider, which stores form submissions and email-preference records.
- An email delivery provider, used to send the notification of your form submission and any replies.
- An AI provider, used only to generate chat assistant responses from the text you send in chat.
- An IP geolocation service, used only on the /qr link to estimate an approximate city for that visit.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If the business is ever sold or merged, records may transfer as part of that transaction.
How long we keep it
Contact and project records are kept while we are talking, for as long as we work together, and afterward for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and legal reasons. QR visit logs are kept in aggregate for trend reporting. You can ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Security
Form data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls on our backend. Our admin dashboard requires a Google sign-in restricted to our own account plus a second challenge. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords, card numbers, or government ID numbers through this site.
Your choices and rights
- Email us to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
- Unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email, or through our unsubscribe page.
- You can browse the whole site without submitting any personal information at all.
- If you are a California resident, you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for asking. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
We serve clients in the United States, primarily Indiana, and this site is intended for US visitors. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US.
Cookies, tracking, and Do Not Track
We store a small number of strictly necessary and preference items in your browser, such as your theme and language choice and your cookie banner answer. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other tool that tracks you across other websites over time, and we do not allow third parties to do that on informic.app. Because there is no cross-site tracking to switch off, a browser "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal changes nothing about how we handle you. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, they will stay switched off until you accept them in the cookie banner and we will update this page first. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy, and you can change your answer any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we have no features aimed at them. If you believe a child sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect, and if the change affects information you already sent us we will say so by email where we have your address.
Questions
Email contact@informic.app and a real person will answer. You can also use our contact form for privacy questions, or call 219-205-2570. We do not publish a street address; email us and we will provide a mailing address for legal notices.
